In Observance of the Holiday, Preferred Urgent Care will be closed on Christmas.

Urgent care facilities are an alternative to going to the emergency room. If your illness or injury is not life-threatening, but it cannot wait until the next day/next available doctor’s appointment, then you should go to an urgent care center. Patients with life-threatening injuries or illnesses should go to a hospital emergency room instead.

One of the reasons why urgent care is preferable over the emergency room is that your wait time will be substantially less. We provide immediate care that is also more affordable than the bills you get stuck with after an emergency room visit. For non-life-threatening health emergencies, go to the nearest urgent care.

Yes, our urgent care providers can send your prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice.

No, Preferred Urgent Care is open for walk-in medical care 7-days a week. You can get immediate care as soon as you walk in the doors. Convenient care is the keystone of what makes an urgent care clinic. However, patients with an appointment take precedent over walk-ins. As such, we encourage everyone to go on our website and make an appointment. If there are no appointments available that suit your schedule, we accept ALL walk-ins.

Typically, there is no wait at Preferred Urgent Care. You are seen by our providers as soon as you come in. However, we still encourage everyone to make an appointment when possible.
