Dr. Mary Santiago joined Preferred as its medical director in August 2016 and she
has since been a champion for quality service and a catalyst for growth. Dr.
Santiago as she is fondly called is a Board-certified family medicine physician
who has over twenty years of working experience. After receiving her Doctor of
Medicine Diploma from University of the East Philippines, she conducted her
residency program at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and graduated
in 2004. Licensed to practice medicine in Michigan and Texas, she initially
began her career in Detroit working for several medical groups and medical
centers before later moving to Houston in 2006. She has since being practicing
as a family physician in various capacity. As a family physician, she always
strives to expand her knowledge and improve patient care. Her primary objective
is to provide warm, compassionate care for the entire family for all their
healthcare needs with a keen focus on preventive care. When I am not spending
time with my family, I love to cook, read, and play the piano.
