When Should I Go to Urgent Care for Treatment?

Mild and severe bites, burns, and stings should always receive immediate medical attention. Preferred Urgent Care conveniently has two locations which are open seven days a week. In the meantime, refrain from scratching which can lead to infection. To reduce pain and swelling, apply a cold pack or cloth filled with ice. Because individuals react differently to insect bites when they are allergic, it is important to keep an eye on your symptoms and contact a medical professional sooner rather than later.

When to go to urgent care for insect bite treatment

Visit urgent care for insect bite treatment if you experience severe allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, swelling around the face or throat, or signs of infection like increasing redness, warmth, or discharge. Urgent care is appropriate for urgent but non-life-threatening situations, offering prompt medical attention for insect bites that require immediate care.

When to go to urgent care for burn treatment

Seek urgent care for burn treatment if you have second-degree burns covering a significant area, burns on the face, hands, feet, genitals, or major joints, or if the burn results from chemicals or electricity. Urgent care provides timely and appropriate care for burns that require medical attention but are not life-threatening emergencies.

Walk-ins are always welcome at Preferred Urgent Care, but if you'd like to schedule an appointment you can call us at (281) 984-6735
